Beard Oil

Beard oil is a conditioner that rejuvenates your facial hair and gives it a healthy life. Beard oil ingredients vary but almost all include the base ingredient: jojoba oil. Other added oils may include almond oil, argan oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, grapeseed oil, grapefruit oil, and/or vitamin E oil. All of these ingredients work to either moisturize and sooth the beard and skin and also soften and protect the beard. Other ingredients serve as an aromatic scent to make your face smell dandy. Say goodbye to the scratchy sandpaper feel of a young beard by applying a few drops of beard oil. If you’re sporting a longer beard, say goodbye to the scraggly dryness a beard turns into after you wash it and remove all of its natural oils.

Beard Wax

On the other end of the spectrum is beard wax. Similar to mustache wax, something you may have heard of if your grandpa ever sported a handlebar mustache, its primary use is to sculpt and tame a wild beard. Sort of like how hair gel helps style your hair, beard wax helps style your beard so that hairs don’t fly in different directions. The less you looks like your live in a subway tunnel, the better. Beard wax can also carry several ingredients, but most commonly uses beeswax or petroleum. Normally, beard wax is very helpful in maintaining rugged whiskers and adds fullness to the beard, so you can sculpt it any way you want it and it will stay that way.

Beard Balm

Beard balm is the lovechild of beard oil and beard wax. It has all the essential oils of beard oil that condition and revive your beard into a beautiful and healthy part of your face but also provides the styling hold of beard wax. For most people, it’s more fitting as well as economical to just purchase a 2 oz. tin of beard balm to get both the benefits of beard oil and beard balm all in one dime-sized scoop of beard balm with every application. It’s absolutely great for beards shorter than 4 inches but longer beards will need actual beard wax to still get a strong hold.
